Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge launched in Kenya today

The anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has been launched today in Kenya. The S6 and S6 Edge will be available in Safaricom and Samsung stores starting tomorrow. This was disclosed on the Samsung Twitter page


Jumia Kenya wasn’t offering pre-orders like their Ugandan counterparts are doing but I guess they will soon be selling it too.

The S6 isn’t yet available in Uganda yet , but you can pre-order the S6 and S6 Edge on Airtel or on Jumia Uganda with both parties promising that device will soon be available.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Price In Kenya

The price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 in Kenya is as follows. The Samsung S6 32GB is going for kes 69,999 (Ugx 2,243,000) while its 64GB counterpart is going for S6 kes 77,999 (Ugx 2,500,000). The Samsung Galaxy Edge 32GB is going for  kes 81,999 (Ugx 2,627,000 ) with the 64GB version at kes 89,999 (Ugx 2,884,000).

Samsung’s latest flagship devices the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have garnered a lot of attention across the globe with many agreeing that this time, Samsung got it right on many fronts. We did a comparison of the S6 against the S5 in case you want see the difference between the two.

Most of what is being praised about the S6 is the improved design eliminating plastic, 3GB RAM, and a superior camera with optical image stabilization for better images. Of course this comes with a really beautiful super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution all running Android 5.0 Lollipop. These among many others are what are creating a buzz about the latest Samsung flagship
