Nokia 8 is now available in Kenya

Nokia 8, the priciest of the new Android phones from HMD Global is finally available in Kenya. With its beautiful aluminum design, ZEISS optics cameras and a beautiful 5.3′ 2K display, it definitely checks most of the requirement for a true 2017 flagship.

The device comes running near-stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an update to the newer Android 8.0 Oreo expected before the end of the year. One of the highly touted features of the phone is Dual-Sight. Its ability to use both the rear and selfie cameras at the same time. This will no doubt appeal to the vloggers among us as it also integrates YouTube and Facebook Livestream.

The Nokia also feature Nokia OZO Audio that brings Hollywood technology to the device’s audio, offering an immersive experience. OZO Spatial 360° audio capture ensures the playback lets you truly relive the moment so your memories never fade.

Price and Availability

Nokia 8 will soon be available at Safaricom Shops and local retailers at a price of Ksh 60,000. This is around the same price as the OnePlus 5 and many other reasonably priced flagships. Notably, it is a lot cheaper than the traditional mainstream flagships like the Galaxy Note 8 or the recently released iPhones.  It comes in Tempered Blue and Steel colors.
