Safaricom is slashing prices for Safaricom Home Internet

Safaricom Home broadband users have something to celebrate this new month. Two things actually since the 90 days of January are gone. Safaricom is introducing two new bundles that aim at disrupt the now very competitive mobile data scene in the country.

The two bundles, Easy30 that carries with it 30GB, and Easy50 that’s got 50GB will go for Ksh 3,500 and Ksh 6,000 respectively. The bundles will however be exclusive to Safaricom BigBox/TV Box subscribers and the ones with the new Safaricom Digital Internet.

Speaking during the launch of the new bundles. Safaricom’s Director for Strategy, Joseph Ogutu said, “The new bundles were designed with the modern Kenyan Family in mind. The affordability of the East data bundles will supplement our nationwide 4G coverage ensuring that each home now has access to the world-class, quality, high speed broadband.

The Easy30 bundles will be valid for 30 days while Easy50 will have a validty of 45 days. On purchasing new bundles, the unfinished bundles will roll over, therefore extending the validity period. If you exhaust the bundles before their expiry date, you will still be able to access the web at 256kbps at no additional cost until the end of the period.

Besides the Easy30 and Easy50 packages, customers on the BIGBox can also purchase a 15 GB bundle at a discounted Sh 3,199 and a 5 GB bundle at Sh 1,199. Both the 15 GB and 5 GB Home bundles will be valid for 30 days.
