Kenyans living abroad can now send money to over 60 DTB branches via WorldRemit

WorldRemit has so far set itself up as leaning digital money transfer service to countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, India, Philippines and 145 destinations. The money remittance service providers enables anyone to send money directly to M-Pesa mobile wallets, KCB bank account and now Diamond Trust Bank(DTB) locations across Kenya.
Worldremit in a new partnership with DTB will enable Kenyans in the diaspora send money back home. The recipients can pickup their money from over 60 DTB locations countrywide.WorldRemit’s mobile-first, digital model allows the Kenyan diaspora to send money in a few taps directly from their phones – without the inconvenience of visiting a bricks and mortar agent.

With a diaspora of half a million living in the US, UK and France, remittances are playing an increasingly important role in Kenya’s economy. The World Bank estimates that in 2017 alone Kenya received over $1.8 billion in remittances.
