Twitter Rolling Out New Design: Looks More Like Facebook

News hit our desk of twitter’s new redesign which surprisingly looked more like the current Facebook with the profile picture and cover photo just like on FB. The official twitter blog  talked about the redesign highlighting key features that are going to be rolled out progressively first to the new twitter users and then later to everyone else. Twitter is quoted about the new redesign saying –

“Moment by moment, your Twitter profile shows the world who you are. Starting today, it will be even easier (and, we think, more fun) to express yourself through a new and improved web profile.”

The redesign will have features like;
“Best Tweets”  where tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.

The other is “Pinned Tweet” which once again just like facebook allows you to pin one of your tweets to the top of your page, so it’s easy for your followers to see what you’re all about.

Lastly, “Filtered Tweets” allow you to choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Selecting from options like; Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

unfortunately or fortunately for others, the features or redesign aren’t yet available for everyone yet but twitter without mentioning a specific date says that the features will be rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks but in the meantime, they have given you something to look at and possibly admire from the first lady’s Twitter Profile to John Legend’s too.

What do you think of the new design? Do you like it or do you not? Let us know what you think in the comments.
