Airtel Mobile Banking is here: Airtel Money users can now do transactions on their bank accounts

Airtel Uganda has today launched a mobile banking service, which will be carried on its already-existing and successful Airtel Money platform. The Airtel Money Mobile banking service will enable Airtel Money customers to deposit money from their Airtel money accounts to their bank accounts and withdraw money from their bank accounts to their Airtel money accounts.

The mobile banking service will be introduced first to customers of Equity, Centenary, Pride, and Opportunity and DFCU banks.

Airtel Uganda has been at the forefront of the mobile payment and banking solutions- by partnering with companies and fostering innovations that are aimed at improving the lives of their customers. Innovations such as; fuel payments, domestic bill payments and, KCCA fees payment using Airtel money; Airtel Uganda has grown its mobile money platform beyond the traditional exchange of funds via mobile phones.

Announcing the official launch of the partnership at Serena Hotel Kampala, Mr. Nuhu Kanyiike, the Airtel Money Director at Airtel Uganda, said the Airtel Uganda is proud of the advancements in its products category.

“Better security, convenience and accessibility for our customers, colleagues and stakeholders is at the heart of our purpose at Airtel Uganda and we are extremely happy to partner with these banks. We have created a solution that will enable our customers to deposit money from their Airtel money accounts to their bank accounts. This product will also allow customers of Airtel Uganda and our partner banks to withdraw money from their bank accounts to their Airtel money accounts whenever they want, wherever they are.”
