Download any of these 5 eBook Readers and conserve mother nature while you’re at it

The average size of smartphones has leveled at around 5 inches for some time now. Well that is according research by this guy at least. Furthermore, according to some tree huggers, approximately 80,000 to 160,000 trees are cut down daily worldwide many of which end up as paperbacks. While only ardent book readers understand that heavenly smell of books, the times are changing fast. Should we cut down forests just to inhale the books literally and figuratively? One would wonder, why should we write fantastical books about forested lands when in actuality we are cutting down the real thing? Whoever came up with ebooks and ebook readers -God bless their soul- did humanity a justice. Ebooks come in many formats, the most popular of which are epub and mobi but you can find many more.

Reading books on smartphones needs some getting used to at first. But once you get the hang of it, you will appreciate the convenience of one device with hundreds of your favorite volumes. At times you will be hardpressed to find bestsellers in your vicinity. Or the price of the hardcover will be more than you can afford. Ebooks have the advantage of being relatively cheaper in ebook stores like Amazon.

    • Thank you Jake. I had never heard of an alternative OS for Kindle. That would come in handy. Especially that Duokan dual boots with Kindle.

      • You are most welcome. Just be careful to ensure you get the ENGLISH version. Duokan also for some funny reason actually looks better. When you see it… Opens Source is awesome. And the screensavers are many many more.
