Google Now: Wants To Put You In Charge Of Google Homepage

Google Now on Mobile

The Internet search giant Google is soon to revamp its iconic homepage, personalising it for everyone  by adding relevant information about weather, traffic conditions and your favourite searches.

Currently all you see on  Google homepage is a white screen, a search box and a pretty logo which gets changed now and on depending the day’s celebrations world wide.

Now Google is working on bringing us Google Now. This is a personalised homepage featured on all Android phones, the web and the search page.

Google Now ‘s Slogan goes as

“Get started with Google Now. Just the right information at just the right time.”

Google Now gets you just the right information at just the right time.

According to Google Landing,  Google Now shows you the day’s weather before you start your day, how much traffic to expect before you leave for work and much more.

But the best part is  this happens automatically. Cards appear throughout the day at the moment you need them.

Even though all of these things are relatively easy to find online and a variety of smartphone apps, but Google Now wants to make all the information people need to go about their day available in one place.

However, It’s not clear yet how ‘Google Now’ for desktop will look. Bringing ‘Google Now’ to the web may be designed to encourage people to move away from their current homepages which are often linked to their email addresses.
