Telkom Kenya launches its self-service app for Android and iOS

There is no stopping Telkom Kenya, or so it seems. After the successful rebranding from Orange Kenya, Telkom has endeavored to disrupt the status quo in the telecom industry in Kenya. They are the only other 4G network in Kenya after Safaricom 4G. They also offer very attractive data bundles that make it the absolute favorite for data-intensive users.

Telkom is adding yet another feather to their already impressive hat with the launch of My Telkom. However, they are the last to join the party as both Airtel Kenya and Safaricom already have their respective apps. With the My Telkom app, customers are able to access all the carrier-related services, all at the same place. These include;

At the moment the app is only available to prepay customers and only weighs 3MB. The app is also zero-rated so you don’t need to have any bundles or credit for it to work, although you still need to have your data on. This is version 1.0 and from our experience, it is surprisingly stable. We can’t wait to see the kind of features and functionality that will come in subsequent releases. As a promotional introductory offer, subscribers will receive 300 MB free data on successful registration in the app.

You can get the My Telkom app on Play Store for your Android or search for it on the Appstore.
