dstv now

The advancement in technology has made a lot of transformation. Previously contained to be a sitting room item, television has become a mobile service, and with the shift to digital signal – it is now much more available to the eyes through mobile. It was a requirement for one to own a decoder and dish so as to enjoy satellite TV but with DStv Now, you can watch your favourite channels live on your smartphone.

The app allows you to live stream the latest movies, hit series and live sport to enjoy wherever you are; to download or stream shows from DStv Catch Up onto your tablet or smartphone; and schedule recordings from your smart device when you connect your DStv Explora to the internet.

  1. Yes, but what do you need to qualify to use this service? Can any DStv subscriber use it? Which countries is it available?
Have you tested it? Why no screenshots from your own device?
I ask this because I tried this app myself last year and streaming wasn’t available for customers outside South Africa. The only useful features were schedules and resetting decoders.
