AppGallery: Huawei’s Mobile App Store is now Globally Available

AppGallery comes with 5 tabs – Featured, Category, Top, Manager, and the last one being Me where is all the user settings and app preferences.

Huawei being the biggest smartphone manufacturer in China makes a lot of the apps in the various categories for Asian markets specifically; like Amap for navigation, WeChat for communication and QQMusic for entertainment.

You can also find regular applications like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, but you probably have downloaded them from Google Play Store.

Huawei says that the store comes pre-installed on all new Huawei and Honor phones, starting with Huawei P20 by the start of April 2018, and there are expectations of a roll out to older devices during the second quarter of 2018.

The exact time for the update availability varies depending of the device model and region.

You should enable third-party app downloads and go to this link where the app will automatically start downloading. You can as well disable the service through the Settings menu in the Me tab or could be completely uninstalled, but all the downloaded apps will stay on the phone.
