Did you happen to lose or misplace your SIM card at the time when UCC, NIRA, and Telecom companies seemed clueless on how best to help? Well, loosen the tension as SIM Card replacement is now available.
After coming to an agreement, the regulatory bodies in NIRA and UCC have provided telecos with the equipment to verify SIM card ownership in times of replacement and acquisition.
MTN Uganda has announced the availability of the replacement service at select MTN service centers. These centers have been equipped with the National ID verification and Bio-metric systems.

You can now get your MTN SIM Card replaced by presenting an original National ID for Ugandans, or a Passport for foreigners, and a letter from Police stating the loss of your SIM card at any of the following MTN Service centres;
Kampala
Shoprite-Clocktower along Ben Kiwanuka street, Shoprite-Lugogo Mall, Forest Mall, Mukwano Mall, Kyaggwe Road and Kampala Road, Opposite Bank of Uganda.
Mbarara
Plot 5, High Street.

MTN Uganda SIM card replacement can only be done by the SIM card owner and not their representatives, at only Ugx 1,500.
