Intel is bringing 5G PCs in 2019. Here’s the interesting bit!

The race is on for whoever will be leading the race to complete wireless technology, with 5G promising to give a much faster and way better transfer of data across connected devices. Currently we do not have 5G devices on the market: No 5G PCs, no compatible smartphones, and no visible sign of complete implementation yet, but what is for sure is that by the end of next year, you could own a laptop coming with a 5G cellular connection.

In a joint announcement, US telecom company Sprint announced at the Computex 2018 that will have in its stores 5G PCs, within next year, powered by Intel’s chips. This brings the list of companies set to release 5G laptops and 2-in-1s next year to six. These are Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer and Asus; all of these promising to board Intel-powered chips.

5G is known to have faster speeds and lower latency over 4G, and this could be the reality in Intel’s dream of making always connected PCs, that run on low-power devices yet with built-in mobile service.

The Interesting bit…

We just can’t wait to see what 5G PCs offer better; are we going to have cheaper options for purchasing mobile service on the go with eSIM, which removes the need for plugging in physical SIM cards? Or shall we purchase mobile data directly from the Windows 10 Store?

Intel claim that 5G will enable employment of untethered VR and ultra quick download speeds from wherever you are in the world, implying that you could be in position to download huge files in just seconds.What about that?

They further state that you will be able to continue participating in a multiplayer game as you ride in an autonomous vehicle on your way to something else.

We can only wait, fingers crossed.
