The Galaxy S4 uses Super AMOLED display with a PenTile pixel arrangement.

The Galaxy Note 2 has got an 8MP camera of 3264×2448 pixels resolution. However, the Galaxy S4 has got a 13 megapixel rear camera that can shoot video in Full HD 1080p quality. It also has a 2 megapixel camera that can also record 1080p video.

The Galaxy S4 will have the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS while the Galaxy Note 2 operates on Android Jelly Bean v.4.1.1.

However, like the Galaxy Note 2 even the Galaxy S4 has got 2 GB RAM and the storage capacity of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB which can be expanded further through microSD card.

  1. Okay while you have outlined the technical specifications, how do they translate into real life usage? I am a geek, but still wondering whether to get the S4 or Note II. Can you outline what the differences in camera, video mode, battery life, screen brightness and resolution, available applications or software features, carrier support (especially for Uganda since TechPost is local), pricing etc and what advantages I get in picking one over the other. Or should I just wait till October for the new Nexus 5 or should I just choose the HTC One?

    • Good Question Stephen
after all the Noise about phones competing to be smarter than the other, it trickles down to benefits in Uganda here. For example most S4’s in Uganda by Orange and airtel dont have 4G/LTE they come with 42MBPS and then most of the fancy features may not be useful here in Uganda.
