Earlier this week, Safaricom kicked off a three-month campaign to increase smartphone uptake among Kenya’s feature phone users by offering affordable 3G devices, convenient payment terms and personalized data offers.
Dubbed “Maisha Ni Digital” the campaign hopes to give at least 10 million Kenyans access to the internet through their mobile phones and has partnered with Google to unveil Kenya’s most affordable smartphone: Neon Kicka 4. The Neon Kicka 4 smartphone runs on Android 8.1 (GO Edition), which is optimized for entry-level devices, and supports high-speed 3G Broadband, allowing users to enjoy the speed, reliability and wide coverage of the Safaricom network.

The Neon Kicka 4, is priced at a very reasonable Sh. 3,499 and can be purchased through a layby payment scheme that will allow subscribers to pay in installments over a period of three months.
