Nonetheless, Xiaomi is a befitting addition to the market that favors well priced affordable smartphones, which is everything Xiaomi stands for already. The success of the established players in the Nigerian smartphone industry has always relied on affordability and value for money, something Xiaomi is not a stranger to. Unlike Tecno, Infinix, and Itel that only have low-budget to bottom shelf mid-range smartphones, Xiaomi’s smartphones range from low budget all the way up to high-end flagships, that way, it provides more variety within the brand. Normally, Huawei and Samsung are often the brands to go to if you want a solid mid-range or premium smartphone. Now, there is a brand that has it all which means they are also under threat as far as the Nigerian market is concerned.
