Motorola One Vision unveiled: First Android One device with punch-hole display

Motorola is one of the most underrated and under-appreciated smartphone makers today. Their devices should be absolutely killing the mid-range market segment but little prime-time is given to them.

Today, the OEM has unveiled the Motorola One Vision. This Exynos-powered phone sports a super-tall 21:9 display with a hole-punch camera, and it runs Google’s Android One build of the OS.

The Motorola One Vision has a 6.3-inch 1080p display that has that Galaxy S10 hole on the upper left corner. This houses the front-facing 25MP camera. The punch hole is much larger than the one on the Galaxy S10.

The Motorola One vision boasts of Motorola’s Moto’s “Quad Pixel” technology. This allows four pixels to behave like one larger 1.6um pixel. As a result, you don’t get the full 48 MP photos the rear camera is capable of, instead, you get 12MP images that are allegedly brighter.

Moto is launching the phone today in Brazil with more Latin American countries coming in a few weeks. Parts of Europe will get the Motorola One Vision starting tomorrow at a price of €299, and it’ll come to the UK for £269 at the end of the month.

Motorola’s presence in Africa is not that pronounced but if history of previous devices is anything to go by, get ready to see this device in stores within the next few weeks.
