Studying can be hectic and boring for students at times. You are often tempted to channel your attention elsewhere and all this does s give you panic attacks before the exams.

Once you own a smartphone, there are apps out there that can aid your studying process and even make it more fun. Here are 10 must-have apps.

Google Drive 

It is important to back up your class notes and assignments and the cloud is a great place to do this. Save and store all of your documents online so that your work will be safe if your laptop/smartphone crashes. You can also work offline and collaborate on a document with your classmates.

myHomework Student Planner 

Are you very busy? Do you have a lot of pending work on your plate? myHomework is a digital student planner that lets you track your classes, homework, tests, and projects so you never forget an assignment.

Alarmy (Sleep if you can)

I used to struggle waking up in the morning. I normally had to set my alarm for 5 different times just in case I missed one. Until I met this app. Alarmy (Sleep If U Can) is an alarm clock that has been dubbed the “World’s Most Annoying Alarm App”. To turn your alarm off, you have to go take a picture of a certain room in your house… and that does not include your bedroom.

Evernote

Generally, you would want to take note of even the slightest thing that might aid your studying. Evernote is a tool that allows you to capture a note or memo in any format; web clip, photo, an audio file, or text.

GoConqr

This app allows you to access great learning resources like Mind Maps, Flashcards, Quizzes, Slides and Notes. You can also use the GoConqr app for social learning and connect and collaborate with friends, classmates, and learners in Groups.

Mint

Managing your finances can be hard for students. Mint is an awesome app to help you manage and track your budget on-the-go with your smartphone. All your finances are in one place: your budget, your savings, and your bank account balance. It also automatically categorizes your banking and credit card transactions and builds charts that show you how and where you are spending your money.

Any.Do

This app allows you to organize your tasks, create to-do lists, and keep your calendar synchronized across all your devices.  It is great for students who need to balance the responsibilities of work, family, and studies. You can use voice-automation to create tasks, change the priority of your entries, and shake your device to remove all completed tasks from your lists.

Office Lens

Office Lens is a free Microsoft app which allows you to convert printed documents, writing and whiteboard screens into editable text on your smartphone or PC.

After taking a photo of written text, you can convert it into Microsoft Word, PDF and PowerPoint files, which you can then edit and save.

Oxford Dictionary 

This is the mobile version of the Oxford University Press’ Oxford English Dictionary. You need a dictionary to look up the meanings of terminologies that are alien to you.

Simple Mind

This is a simple mind mapping app that lets you co-ordinate your mind maps between your computer and your smart device. It is practical and simple to use.
