Nokia 1 Plus is now down to just 8,300 KES

The entry-level segment of Kenya’s smartphone market is not short of devices. Companies like iTel, Tecno and Infinix have a rather strong hold on the market but that doesn’t seem to deter HMD Global, the new home for Nokia smartphones.

Nokia 1 Plus was introduced in the Kenyan market early this year and remains to be HMD Global’s cheapest phone this year. It is a phone to consider when seeking an option in the entry level category.

To further entice prospective customers, HMD is slashing the price by 13%, now selling the device for just 8,300 KES.

The device spots a 480 x 960 display, an 8MP single rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Powering this econobox is the Mediatek MT6739WW chipset and it comes with 1GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of storage.
