The Galaxy buds rests inside the ear while the Q-tip-like cylinder sticks out down your earlobe. The Airpods on the other hand are noticeably large, in fact, it is almost impossible to miss the AirPods when they’re dangling from someone’s ear. The AirPods are only available in white, and the Galaxy Buds come in black, white and yellow.

Comfortability from either of these buds largely depends on the shape of your ears, but generally, we noticed that the Airpods were more comfortable, especially if you need to wear them for a long period of time. This is because they are lightweight.

Neither one of the buds is fully water resistant, but the Galaxy Buds have an IPX2 rating meaning they can withstand intense sweat sessions.

The Airpods have an open design which means you can hear noise from your surroundings and you do not have to take them off to have a conversation. The Galaxy buds have a tighter design that blocks out surrounding noise more than the Airpods. Both ear buds can be paired manually from the Bluetooth settings on any phone, tablet or laptop.

 Sound quality

The sound on the Galaxy buds are tuned by AKG. and you can customize the sound profile in the Galaxy Wear app. this feature makes voices more clearly. Thanks to its tighter fitted design, the Galaxy bud sounds is notably richer. You do not need to increase the volume too much to enjoy your music.

Airpods on the other hand also have great sound quality. You wouldn’t even notice the quality difference except you listen to them side by side with the Galaxy bud. Unlike the Galaxy bud, the Airpod has a more open design which means you might need to always increase the volume if there is a lot of noise around.

Battery

The Galaxy bud last longer than the Airpod by almost 2 hours. On Airpods, you will get a maximum of 5 hours of continuous playback, while you’ll get about 7 hours on the Galaxy bud. The Airpod also holds more charge in the case than the Galaxy Bud, this means you’ll be able to charge your Airpods more times on the go if you don’t have access to electricity.

Which is the best? That’s all depends on the brand of phone you use. Airpods will connect seamlessly with IOS devices, and Galaxy buds works well for Samsung and other Android devices.

Well, for me, I’ll go for the Galaxy buds, they have more features and offer greater customization and are a lot cheaper than the AirPods.
