Display/Design

Both of them (TECNO Camon 15 Pro vs Infinix NOTE 7) come with really cool designs, as they try to deviate from the norm. While Camon 15 Pro sports a pop-up front camera (first of its kind on any TECNO phone), NOTE 7 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint and face unlock sensor.

NOTE 7 is slightly larger. Its 6.95-inch display makes it a perfect smartphone for gaming and for binge-watching. Camon 15, on the other hand, is a 6.53-inch IPS LCD ‘clean’ display — clean because the display screen doesn’t house the front camera.

Camera

The TECNO Camon 15 Pro comes with the same camera setup as the regular Camon 15. The only upgrade is the doubled 16-megapixel front camera.

NOTE 7, however, comes with a 48MP with f/1.79 aperture, a 25mm 2MP macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a low light video camera, as well as a 16-megapixel front-facing punch-hole camera.

The Sony lens on the Camon 15, which supports AI scene detection, lets you take photos in HDR and Panorama, as well as shoot 1080p videos at 30fps, gives it a slight edge over the Infinix NOTE 7.

Processor/CPU

Tecno Camon 15 Pro is powered by a 2.35GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor. The Infinix NOTE 7, on the other hand, runs on a 1.7GHz Octa-core Mediatek Helio G70 gaming CPU. The Note 7’s Octa-core processor features a Dual-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A75 and a Hexa-core 1.7GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs, along with Mali-G52 GPU.

Storage

Both smartphones are premium models in their series, so it is not a surprise that they are equipped with massive internal storage spaces. Both of them are backed by internal storage capacity of 128GB, and a microSD card slot that can hold up to 258GB. They are also backed by 6GB of RAM.

Battery

The TECNO Camon 15 Pro comes with a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, which is quite disappointing. NOTE 7, however, didn’t disappoint, as it is backed by a 5000mAh non-removable battery.

Price and Availability

During its online launch, TECNO announced that the Camon 15 Pro will be sold for $209, but the smartphone is still only available for pre-order. To pre-order, send “Pre-order Camon 15” to +234 903 643 8365 on WhatsApp.

At the moment, details on the price and availability of the NOTE 7 are still sketchy. We will give you updates once we know more.

Which ‘Pro’ Is Worth Buying

Deciding on which to buy largely depends on what you will be using the smartphone for — gaming, photography, etc. Pricing and budget (i.e. how much you’re willing to spend) are other things you need to put into consideration.

The Infinix NOTE 7, for instance, is the better option for gamers. Its large display screen, RAM size, and the 1.7GHz Octa-core Mediatek Helio G70 gaming CPU makes it the perfect smartphone for gaming.

From the specifications and features of both smartphones that we compared in this post, tell us: which would you buy?
