It goes without saying that Tecno, along with its sister brands (Infinix and iTel) have a rather strong grip of the local markets here in Africa. And for good reason, this company’s products are relatively better tuned for the needs of the average African user.

How? You ask? Well, Tecno devices often pack really big battery cells and impressive camera performance, metrics that are important to the African market.

Well, Tecno is seeking to further solidify its position in the Kenyan market by introducing yet another device to cater for the entry-level segment of the market, the Tecno Pouvoir 4.

This device comes to succeed last year’s rather popular Tecno Pouvoir 3 that wowed us with its impressive battery life. The Pouvoir 4 seeks to continue in its predecessor’s shoes by packing a massive 6,000mAh battery cell.

The rest of the specifications that this device brings is also quite impressive. Here is the device’s specsheet.

  • Display: 7-inch 720 x 1640 pixels HD+ screen.
  • Camera: 13 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP + 0.3 MP Main / 8 MP front.
  • Storage: 32 GB.
  • RAM: 3 GB.
  • CPU: Quad-core 2.0 GHz, Mediatek Helio A22.
  • OS: Android 10, HiOS 6.1.
  • Battery: 6.000 mAh battery

Perhaps the highlight of this device is the 6,000mAh battery which, at least in theory, should see an average user through 2 days of use with little issues.

Also worth noting is that the Pouvoir line has two devices, the Pouvoir 4 and the Pouvoir 4 Pro. The Pro variant of this device also packs fast charging so juicing up the 6,000mAh battery shouldn’t take too long.

This device also packs a 7-inch HD+ display and this should be glorious for people who consume a lot of media on their smartphones. This experience should be enhanced further, thanks to the device’s Dual Stereo Speakers.
