The New OnePlus One Smartphone: The Phone You Wanted But Didn’t Know Is Here

Okay! lets take this from the start.
What is the “OnePlus One”? The obvious answer is “Two” but in this case OnePlus One smartphone is the phone you have been dreaming about that you didn’t know. So OnePlus is actually a  startup that has released its first phone the “ OnePlus One” in a press conference that has received global acclaim.

“By paying attention to the smallest details, taking a holistic approach to product design, and working with the best partners such as Cyanogen Inc. and Qualcomm Technologies, we have been able to create the greatest day to day user experience in a smartphone without compromise”

The CEO OnePlus also former VP Oppo; Pete Lau said

Before anything, it suffices to say that OnePlus has outdone itself in releasing the OnePlus One when you see the power that has been packed in this phone. The specs are simply mind blowing. The Phone features 5.5Inch IPS Display, a  2.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quadcore processor with 3GB of RAM. It also features a 13 MP rear Camera and 5MP front shooting 4K Video, a 3100mAh battery. The Phone supports NFC and 4G technology and comes in 16 and 64GB models non expandable. The 16GB Model costs $299 and the 64GB at $349

The OnePlus One runs CyanogenMod a tweaked version of Android said to have better performance and more innovative features.

” We’ve brought out the full potential of the hardware and complemented it with innovative new features to give users a fresh new experience and the tools to tailor the One to their personal style”

OnePlus is giving away the first 100 OnePlus Ones through its Phone Smash campaign starting 25th April where OnePlus fans can go to oneplus.net/smash to apply to smash their current phone in exchange for a OnePlus One. 100 lucky applicants will get the very first 100 OnePlus Ones for just $1 as well as the ability to invite their friends to buy the OnePlus One.

Unfortunately Africa isn’t mentioned when it comes to sales and distribution of the OnePlus One but its reported that the phone will initially be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States
