Not too long ago, we saw the official unveiling of the Oppo Reno4 into the Kenyan market. At KES 39,999 ($400), this device offered so much value for anyone in the market for a decent Android experience but isn’t looking to spend KES 100,000 while at it.
Fast-forward to a little over 6 months later, Oppo is unveiling its successor, the Oppo Reno5 into the vibrant and super competitive Kenyan market.
The device isn’t a drastic departure from its predecessor (I mean it’s only been a few months since the Reno4 launched) and this is more evident in its design.
The camera placement is almost identical to the Reno4 but that’s almost as far as the similarities go. Comparisons aside, what does the Reno5 have to offer? Let’s have a look at the major specs.

The device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G that does support 5G. This is paired with the Adreno 620 GPU, a feature that’ll tickle the fancy of any gamer due to the raw performance.
The device comes in two configurations, an 8GB variant with 128GB of internal storage and a 12GB RAM variant with a massive 256GB of internal storage.
Powering the Oppo Reno5 is a 4,300mAh battery cell that supports Oppo’s proprietary VOOC 2.0. This technology will juice up the battery at a staggering 65W; that’s really fast.
Oppo Reno5 Price in Kenya
Oppo Kenya has announced the Reno5 in Kenya along with the Reno5 F. These devices will retail at a recommended price of Ksh. 54,000.
