Apple, during its latest event this September, unveiled a bunch of products including the new iPhone 14 line of devices – the star of the show.  The new iPhone 14 series was launched as the successor to the iPhone 13. And as expected, the phone comes with some upgrades over the iPhone 13. The new iPhone series is gradually being rolled out around the world – including in Nigeria. And in this article, we will be telling you all about this new iPhone 14 in Nigeria; its new specs, features, price, and where to buy one.

iPhone 14 in Nigeria: Key Spec

Design and Display

Not much was done in this department on the new iPhone 14 series. Its design and display are similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 13. In the new series, Apple is sticking to the 6.1-inch screen size and 60Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the iPhone 14 features an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED screen with a resolution of 1179 x 2556 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Processor

The new iPhone 14 features the Apple A15 Bionic chip – the same chipset as its predecessor. But that’s not to say it is not a decent chip. As a matter of fact, it is currently one of the best chips on the market. It features an impressive graphical capacity and power management. That said, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, however, feature the new Apple A16 Bionic chip. This is the first time that two iPhones in the same series will feature different processors.

Dynamic Island

Apple got creative with the notch on the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The notch on the new iPhone versions is now a display punch hole that houses the front-facing camera and FaceID sensors. Also, Apple has introduced what it calls “Dynamic Island” on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This feature allows the notch to enlarge and shrink when you receive a call and displays the music you’re playing, timers, other notifications, etc.

Price and Where to Buy

The iPhone 14 series hasn’t been launched in Nigeria yet, however, unconfirmed reports suggest that the iPhone 14 will start selling for N756,000 naira for the 128GB model. That said, we will update this article with new information once we know more.
