The Infinix Hot is a line of budget smartphones made by Infinix Mobility. These devices are known for their affordable price points and their emphasis on providing a good user experience for the price.
The recipe for these devices is pretty simple. Slap on a large battery, high-resolution cameras, a cheap Mediatek chip, and viola! They are marketed toward budget-conscious consumers who are looking for a good-value smartphone.

Previous iterations of the same have proved worthy devices and have enjoyed immense popularity among the youth in the country, especially college and university students. Today, Infinix is looking to further bolster its position in the market with the launch of the Infinix Hot 20i.

My biggest concern for this device, and other low RAM affordable devices is that they get really really slow very quickly. Luckily, Infinix has found a way to make this a little better. This is through the RAM expansion feature. This adds an extra 3GB of RAM to the device by offloading some of that to the ROM. This means that the 4GB RAM variant with +3GB Extended RAM gets you 7GB of RAM.
The Helio G25 also promises decent performance even though it is not exactly a powerhouse. This should still get you by pretty okay but don’t expect Snapdragon 7xx series performance or anything.
Pricing and Availability
The Infinix Hot 20i comes in two variants, a 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and a 2GB RAM, 64GB ROM variant. These will be selling at Ksh. 15,299 and Ksh. 12,499 respectively. These are available nationwide across Infinix and Transsion stores, on their official online store, on Jumia, and on Kilimall.
These will be available in a set of colors including Energy Green, Luna Blue, Sunset Gold, and Wilderness Black.
