MTN Rwanda has opened a mobile-to-mobile remittance service between Rwanda and Tanzania. This is to enable MTN Mobile Money users in Rwanda easily send money to Airtel Tanzania subscribers through the MFS Africa Hub – a connection of mobile money operations across a number of markets in the sub-Saharan Africa region.

The hub ensures convenient and affordable mobile-to-mobile international money transfers, as well as allow customers to transfer cash more simply and at a lower cost than the traditional methods.

The receiver can now check his Airtel Money account balance and cash out the remittance, or use the money for any Airtel Money service.
