Samsung’s new Galaxy A devices; Specs and Prices in Kenya

After basically doing away with the mid-range Galaxy J line of smartphones, Samsung is taking a whole new approach on the super competitive entry to the midsection of the market. This is with the launch of 6 new Galaxy A devices, spanning the entire price range.

Galaxy A2 Core

Of the devices announced into the Kenyan market, the Galaxy A2 Core is the baby. This little device comes with a single gig of RAM and 16GB of international storage. 2012 specs, right? This device costs a rather modest KES 8,100.

The device comes in three different colors, Blue, Black, and Red.

Galaxy A10

For a rather reasonable KES 11,999, the new Galaxy A10 won’t top any benchmark tests. I have a feeling this is the device most people will be getting. It spots 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also comes in Blue, Black and Red.

The A10 will retail at a price of KES 11,999 and should be available in dealers across the country within the next few weeks.

Galaxy A20 2019

The A10 will retail at a price of KES 16,999 and should be available in dealers across the country within the next few weeks.

Galaxy A50 2019

The A50 will retail at a price of KES 30,499 and should be available in dealers across the country within the next few weeks.

Galaxy A70 2019

The A70 will retail at a price of KES 38,999 and should be available in dealers across the country as from Mid April.

Galaxy A80 2019

Perhaps the most exciting device of the bunch. The Galaxy A80 spots a near bezelless front and doesn’t have a front-facing camera. Instead, part of the device slides up when the front camera is triggered, and in Oppo N1 fashion, the entire camera assembly swivels and faces you, giving you all the 48 MP selfie goodness.

The A80 will retail at a price of KES 64,999 and should be available in dealers across the country as from May.

These are all really compelling offers, especially seeing what these devices bring to the table in a market where players like Huawei, Oppo and the rest aren’t slacking.
