COVID-19 has spread across the globe with just very few countries yet to record a single case. In Uganda, companies have come up with actionable things to soften the impact of the pandemic. Airtel Uganda launched business numbers through which you can donate directly to the Ministry of Health and Red cross using Airtel Money for free.
The donations are intended to help facilitate efforts of the Uganda Red Cross snd the Ministry of Health as they work to help prevent further spread of the virus. These donations are also meant to support those who are finding it hard to look after themselves as a result of the lockdown.
How to Donate to Red Cross
- Dial *185*9#
- Enter Business Number 1161184.
- You will then be asked to enter the amount you would like to share.
- Airtel Money will ask for a reference.
- Enter your PIN to confirm the transfer of money.

How to Donate to the Ministry of Health

- Enter Business Number 1160942
- You will then be asked to enter the amount you would like to share.
- Airtel Money will ask for a reference.
- Enter your PIN to confirm the transfer of money.
Airtel Uganda also enables you to share cash seamlessly from your bank account to your Airtel Money wallet at no extra cost. To do so:
- Dial *185*7*1#.
- Select the bank of your choice.
- Choose whether you would like to transfer from your Airtel Money Wallet to your Bank account or from your bank account to your Airtel Money Wallet.
- Enter Bank account number
- Input the amount you would like to share
- Enter your PIN to confirm.
