How to Enable the Recycle Bin in a Chromebook

Anyone who has ever deleted a file and then immediately thought better of the decision can relate to the frustration of not having an “undo” button on their computers. This is especially true for Chromebooks, which don’t come with a recycle bin pre-installed. Fortunately, it’s possible to enable a trash folder on Chrome OS.

The trash folder (Chromebook recycle bin) can be activated using Chrome OS flags but you must have Chrome OS 89 or later. In this article, I will show you how this is done — so you have another chance when you make mistakes.
