Amazon is pitching Alexa+ as an AI that feels more human—one that doesn’t just answer your questions but actually understands the context and flows naturally in conversation. Amazon hopes that the new Alexa which has been in works for some time now will be more helpful that the previous model. The new AI assisant should help you plan a trip, setup a weekly meal, recommend the best products online and more.
Here are some of the top features you should know;
- It’s conversational – No need to repeat exact phrases or commands. Alexa+ follows along and remembers the context of your chats.
- It’s personal – Over time, it learns your habits, preferences, and routines. Expect smarter recommendations, whether it’s suggesting a playlist or adjusting your smart home settings.
- It gets things done – Need dinner reservations? A travel itinerary? Gift ideas? Alexa+ can handle real-world tasks beyond just giving information.
- It’s available everywhere – Use it on Echo devices, the Alexa mobile app, or through a web browser—so you can switch seamlessly between them.

Here’s where it gets interesting: Alexa+ is free for all Amazon Prime members. However, if you’re not a Prime subscriber, it’ll cost a whooping $19.99 per month. That’s pretty much the same price you would pay for AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claud today.
