Mi Watch is Xiaomi’s Smartwatch with GPS and Blood Oxygen monitoring

Today at Global Mi launch online event, Xiaomi announced its much anticipated Smart watch, the incredibly light-weight Mi Watch with a built-in GPS and Blood Oxygen monitor for just 99 Euros. The device was launched along with the Mi 10T smartphone series and Mi 65W GaN fast charger.

The Mi Watch follows the Mi Band 5 which is a fitness band or tracker that Xiaomi has been releasing for the last 5 years. Xiaomi has been working with Huami Technology to produce Mi band trackers along with Amazfit brand of smart watches. However, Xiaomi is has released a Smart watch in its own brand name for the first time.

Mi Watch takes a circular form-factor with a 1.39″ large AMOLED display. This devices combines the best of watch and fitness band features into one device. Weighing just 32g, the smart watch is as light as six A4 sheets of paper. The watch is 5 ATM water resistant making it ideal for serious outdoor activity. With over 117 supported exercises with auto-detection, Xiaomi is targeting just about anyone who’s physically active.

The Mi Watch comes with a Geomagnetic compass, Air pressure and elevation and built-in GPS bringing it on the same category as the Amazfit Bip, GTS/GTR, Huawei GT, Samsung Active Watch 2 and Apple Watch. It comes with a Blood oxygen monitor, a very popular feature in smartwatches of 2020 because of the pandemic.

You also get sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, breathing exercises, stress monitoring and a built-in voice assistant. It’s not clear weather that’s Google assistant voice assistant or Xiaomi’s own AI voice assisant. The Watch is very customizable with more than 100 faces with 6 stylish bands to go with.

The Mi Watch has a battery life of upto 16 days which is almost similar to what you would get from the Mi Bands. When the battery runs out, Xiaomi says you only need to charge it for 2 hours to get 2 weeks worth of battery. The watch will be available within the coming days for 99 Euros.
