MTN Uganda recently introduced an overnight data bundle called “MTN Night Shift” at the price of Ugx 2500 like. The announcement was made on their blog by the acting Chief Marketing Officer Hazel Twesigye who is quoted saying;
“With the continuous enthusiasm and growing numbers of Internet users in the country, MTN would like to offer an early Christmas present to customers with the Night Shift Internet offer. As a business we acknowledge the relevance of affordable Internet in the day to day activities of our customers and this is one of the many ways to answer our customer’s request for more data at an affordable price. We strive to see that our customers enjoy their lives by maximizing all services we offer’Advertisement - Continue reading below
MTN joins Orange and Airtel that earlier introduced the same package that has become very popular among their subscribers. The Overnight bundle gives users 1GB of data from midnight to 6:00 am. 1Gb in the information economy can do a lot of things especially if it is only Ugx 2500. MTN must have lost a lot of clients to the competition just because of the overnight data bundles thus introducing their own.
Now that all the major networks have the same offering, the major question remains who has the best speeds? I have used both Airtel and Orange which both worked just fine. I am yet to use the MTN night bundle and compare which offers the best internet experience. One thing we love about it all is that data will be more affordable and accessible .
For now, MTN customers can enjoy Night Shift by subscribing via USSD *150*1# and when you use, don’t forget to let us know your experience
