Nokia 2.2 is now available in Kenya for KES 10,500

The Nokia 2.2 is now available for Kenyan customers. And it actually looks pretty good for its price. It offers premium features like a teardrop notch display, face unlock camera, and, get this, a dedicated Google Assistant button. Take that Samsung and your Bixby.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment is the specs, specifically the processor: it’s powered by a MediaTek A22 chip, which isn’t exactly the fastest option around, but you get what you pay for here. Rounding things out is a 2+16 storage configuration. This really doesn’t cut it in 2019, but there is also a 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage version of this device. It is not the best, but hopefully enough for most people shopping for a device at that budget.

Like all other Nokia phones from HMD, the Nokia 2.2 runs Android 9 Pie, and is part of Google’s Android One program, which guarantees two years of OS upgrades (an Android Q update is already promised). It’s available today starting from KES 10,500 in select stores countrywide.
