The news of the passing away of South Africa’s first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela today at the age of 95 has caused an outpouring of solidarity and condolence messages from political leaders and ordinary users alike on Twitter with the hashtags #RIPNelsonMandela, #RememberingMandela and #madiba currently trending on the micro-blogging website.
