Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI is a term Samsung has been using to describe the various AI-powered features and capabilities expected to be introduced with the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. While the full picture won’t be revealed until Samsung’s official launch event on January 17th, here’s what we know so far:

Overall focus:

  • Enhanced user experience: Samsung aims to integrate AI seamlessly into various aspects of phone usage, making it more intuitive, efficient, and personalized.
  • Increased power and processing: New and powerful processors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (in some regions) and Exynos 2400 are expected to provide the muscle for advanced AI tasks.

Specific features

  • Live Translate: Real-time audio and text translations during phone calls, potentially exceeding current offerings like Pixel Live Caption.
  • Generative Edit: AI-powered photo editing that allows you to remove unwanted objects, change backgrounds, and even re-age faces.
  • Nightography Zoom: Improved low-light photography with AI assistance for sharper, clearer images with enhanced zoom capabilities.
  • High-Resolution: AI-driven image processing for photos and videos, promising superior detail and clarity.
  • Other potential features: Additional speculation surrounds AI-powered call summarization, smarter battery management, and personalized app recommendations.

While the rumor mills will probably continue churning for the next few weeks until the official launch event, we probably won’t get a complete picture of what these devices pack until the launch event so take everything you see with a grain of salt.
