There are so many apps that allows you to send money to others such as PayPal, Google Wallet, Venmo, but no matter how cool or easy they are, it always feels like a hassle. Opening the app, typing in your email, password, and typing in the recipient details, it’s a long process. Don’t you think it sounds cool and easier to send money to your friends and family simply by talking to your smartphone?
Google now is offering you more way to make payments easier on your phone. During the annual Google I/O developer conference, The Tech Giant announced Google Payment API that will allow you to send money by using your voice. This feature lets people pay online with any verified credit or debit card linked to their Google Account,
“In the upcoming months, we’ll also enable people in the U.S. to send or receive payments via the Google Assistant. On your Google Home or Android device, it’s as simple as saying “Ok Google, send $10 to Jane for pizza.” All you need is a debit card linked to your Google account”. Google Said
As you can see in the GIF above, Using your voice you can say something like “Send $15 to Gerald for Pizza”, and Google Assistant verifies your identity with a fingerprint to prevent unnecessary payments.
