To apply for this scholarship, you need to be at least 18 years old and live in a country in Africa.

When applying, you have to choose between learning web development or Android development. Once you’ve been accepted, you will be placed in one of two tracks (beginner or intermediate), depending on your existing skills and experience.

Some scholarship recipients may be able to participate in an Andela Learning Community with training from Andela,  and the top students from each track will earn full scholarships to one of our Android or Web Development Nano-degree programs.

That is, the top 150 students from the Beginner Track will be awarded scholarships to the Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree Program, while the top 100 students from the Intermediate Track will be awarded scholarships to the Mobile Web Specialist Nanodegree Program.

The application single for all, whether you’re interested in Mobile or Web, and whether you’re a beginner or already have experience and it takes about 10-15 minutes.
