The Vivo NEX S drives Bezelless smartphone future forward

The future of smartphones is clearly bezelless. Chinese maker Vivo recently launched their next generation flagship, the Vivo Nex S smartphone. The futuristic-looking device pushes the bezelless game to a level we haven’t seen anyone else attempt. The phone also makes some nifty innovations to place the sensors we would otherwise need bezels to house.

The phone also spot an improved under-display fingerprint sensor that we first saw on the prototype Vivo Apex earlier this year. It spots a piezo-electric earpiece that vibrates the display to produce clear and crisp sound for voice calls. Sadly, there’s no earphone jack.

Most exciting bit about this phone could easily be the front facing camera that zooms up from the phone’s body and retracts away when not in use.

Pricing and Availability

Early reports place its price at about About 700 EUR. The Vivo Nex S is expected to go on sale sometime later this year. It is still unclear whether it will make its way to local shores but analysts are positive that this might very well be the case with this one.
