The more avenues that customers have at their disposal in case they need to get in touch with customer care teams, the more flexibility these customers can enjoy.
With the introduction of bots to major social media platforms, suddenly, there was yet another viable way for these carriers to offer customer support to users in a manner that is seamlessly integrated with users’ preferences.
Safaricom for one, has really embraced this tool. Not too long ago, we saw Safaricom launch Zuri, its interactive customer care bot on both Telegram and Facebook messenger.
This tool was rather well received by people. However, not many users are on Telegram, or even Facebook Messenger. Most Kenyans are known to use WhatsApp. It was therefore, only reasonable that Safaricom would bring the same tool to WhatsApp, right?
Well, the giant Kenyan telco has just debuted the same Zuri interactive customer care bot, on WhatsApp. This means that any Safaricom user on WhatsApp can now easily interact with the bot and perform various carrier-related tasks right within their WhatsApp.
How to use Zuri on WhatsApp
You can simply click here on your phone. This will open the Zuri self-help bot on your WhatsApp and that’s it.
However, if that is too much, you can as well save this number on your phone.
+254 722 000100
- Save that number on your contact list as “Safaricom Zuri“.
- Open your WhatsApp and start a new chat.
- Select Safaricom Zuri from your list
- Send the word ‘Start” to begin using the bot.
At the moment, some of the tasks you can perform with this tool include Managing your Safaricom line, M-PESA Reversals, purchasing data bundles and airtime among other things.
