Chip and PIN is the latest card technology used by banks to offer their customers better security when transacting. A couple of banks in Uganda are now offering their customers Chip and PIN cards over the Magnetic stripe cards because of better and enhanced security features.
The Chip and PIN cards have a little computer chip on the front that looks like a SIM card chip while the Magnetic stripe have a black strip on the back. (You may notice that some cards have both)
Here is a list of the banks in Uganda that offer VISA debit/credit Chip and PIN cards with their addresses Facebook pages and Twitter handles (For those who have and use them)
