Oppo F5 Officially launched in Kenya. Here are the specs and how to get it.

A few weeks ago, we got word that Oppo was soon launching the successor to Oppo F3, the selfie expert. True to their word, on Monday 20th November, the bezel-less Oppo F5 was launched in a lavish event at Radisson Blu, Nairobi.

Aiming to build on the success of the predecessor, OPPO F5 beautiful, beastly 6-inch display with the 2017-trending aspect ratio of 18:9. This gives a resolution of 2160×1080 (HD+).

The device also spots a Facial Unlock feature that complements the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. OPPO F5 is also the first smartphone to bring Artificial Intelligence into selfie feature in Kenya. A technology that identifies shapes and facial structures based on a global database emulating skills that help selfies look more real and natural.

Pricing and Availability

The device is open for preorder from today, 21st November to November 28th when it will officially go on sale on local stores, Safaricom Shops and e-commerce platforms.

Priced at a fairly reasonable Ksh. 31,990, Oppo F5 is set to compete directly against the recently launched flagships from Transion Holdings, Tecno Phantom 8 and Infinix Zero 5. We will do an in-depth comparison and a showdown between all these three when we get the review units.
