Airtel Uganda announces a standard calling rate across all Networks

Airtel

Airtel Uganda, the country’s only 100% 4G network has announced a standard calling rate across all networks effective 2nd April 2019. This announcement comes just a few days after we reported that MTN Uganda had introduced a One Rate standard charge for calling from MTN to all other local networks.

The new rate is similar to what MTN Uganda is offering i.e. 4/+ per second or 180/= per minute. This unification of charges is very important especially in a multi-telecom industry where cross-network communication is inevitable.

With this, Airtel continues to provide more value to its customers through provision of quality services at affordable prices. Competition in the telecoms sector has also helped many Ugandans enjoy quality services at reduced prices.

From competition about who offers the cheapest data to who offers the best voice bundles, Ugandan telecom companies are tussling it out and customers have been given succulent offers.

Airtel being one of the big players in Uganda followed swiftly after MTN’s announcement.
