Truecaller, best known for its anti-spam feature has aggressively been looking to expand its business. The service, which offers both ad-support free tier and subscription bundle, has added messaging, mobile payments, and call recording features in recent years. Earlier this year, it also added a crediting option, allowing users in India to borrow a few hundred dollars.
Today, it has become a one-stop-solution to identify calls, send messages and now free VoIP calls with Truecaller Voice. This new venture feels like a natural course of action seeing as high-speed internet is quickly becoming widespread.
We are ecstatic with the launch of Truecaller Voice. We have been working towards building a full communication suite for our users and voice calling is the next big step in line with this mission.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala, VP of Product at Truecaller
Like many other VoIP solutions like WhatsApp call, Viber and Skype just to mention a few, Truecaller Voice works over both WiFI and mobile data. Truecaller says they have optimized Truecaller Voice to offer a clear, crisp and high-quality call even when data or WiFi coverage is low.
Integrating free calls into Truecaller on Android means fewer apps taking up space on your phone! With Truecaller being a one-stop shop for your communication needs, your communication will stay more safe and efficient.
To try out this new feature, all you have to do is update to the latest version of Truecaller from Play Store or the Apple Store, or alternatively, visit the Truecaller Download Page. Users with the latest version of Truecaller can then easily call each other over the app free of charge.
