Ride hailing startup Safeboda has just announced a new Airtime purchase feature to its App. The feature with an Airtime icon on the home screen is rolling out to all users in Uganda who update their App today.
Safeboda users can now load airtime from MTN, Airtel and Africell using their cashless credits. You can specify the default number or you can buy airtime for a new number from within the App.
Along with the Airtime feature, Safeboda has added the ability to add 4-digit security cashless PIN to further protect your account. About a month ago, Safeboda rolled out a major redesign of their App in anticipation of new services we are beginning to see now.
Food ordering is already in the works is most likely going to be the next feature up on their sleeves.
