How Oppo is Staking its claim in the Nigerian Smartphone Market

Global phone manufacturer, OPPO Mobile entered the Nigerian market four months ago with the launch of its 2019 flagship devices, the OPPO F11 Pro and the OPPO F11 Avengers limited edition. The limited edition is in line with a Partnership with Marvel Studios. The brand is popular for its quality photography experience and smartphone design.

Just four months after releasing the OPPO F11 pro, OPPO have now unveiled 2 new Smartphones; OPPO A5s and OPPO A1K in Nigeria. The company said the two smartphones are also more price friendly than the OPPO F11 Pro.

According to Joseph Adeola, the public relations officer for OPPO Nigeria, “A lot of people want to use the Oppo brand but are not able to afford it. So, we did some market research and affordably packaged it in what we call practical technology.”
