Chipper Cash launches money transfers to and from the United States, Twitter Tips and Stock trading

Chipper Cash, Africa’s fastest-growing fintech announced yesterday that they have launched money transfers to and from the United States. The United States is already home to millions of Africans and the largest remittance corridor into African countries today. 

The Chipper Cash mobile app will enable instant peer-to-peer (P2P) payments from the US to 8 countries in Africa and the UK. The announcement was made along with Burna Boy, the Multiple international award-winning musician joining the company as a global brand ambassador.

Sending money into and across the continent should be affordable, easy, and secure. To that end, the Chipper Cash mobile app will enable instant peer-to-peer (P2P) payments from the US to 8 countries in Africa and the UK. And it gets better—payments from the US to Nigeria are free.

The company also announced the integration of Chipper Cash to Twitter Tips as an option for emerging African creators and thought leaders to receive support on Twitter – via money. Chipper users will soon be able to connect their Chipper Tags to their Twitter accounts and receive Tips.

Also announced was integration with several banks in Ghana, Stock trading of U.S companies for Ugandan users and a Network API service.

Chipper Cash was founded in 2018 by Ham Serunjogi and Majid Moujaled on the idea that moving money across the continent should be transparent, instant, and trouble-free. The App is available in 8 countries in Africa with support for peer-to-peer money transfers, Airtime and data bundle purchase, Cryptocurrency investment among other features.
