Today, Xiaomi unveiled the next iteration of its popular line of budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi Note 11 series, in a live event. And as you can imagine, it is packed with some jaw-dropping features. Just months ago, we reviewed its predecessor, the Redmi Note 10, and asides its affordability, the other head turners on the midrange device was the 120hz refresh rate, as well as a super AMOLED display – the type reserved for flagships smartphones. Another standout feature, for us, was the whopping 108MP camera it came with.

The new Note 11 series comes with even more. First off, there are four smartphones (The Redmi Note 11, Note 11S, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro 5G) in this series, and they come in an entirely new design. They have what Xiaomi calls “trendy flat-edge body” – similar to the flat-edge body design of the iPhone 12 or 13.

The premium model of this Redmi series is the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and it comes with the top features and specifications of this series. First, Xiaomi announced that it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset with 5G support, and Xiaomi says it runs on a highly efficient 6nm processor. The device is a 6.67-inch OLED panel, a 1080p, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Furthermore, this smartphone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery (with over 2 days of battery life) and supports 67W turbo charging. Also, there’s the 108-megapixel main camera, as well as, an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro camera for support. Other features include dual speakers, 3mm headphone jack, IP53 splash-proof, rating ,NFC, etc.

Price and Availability

The Redmi Note 11 5G will be starting at just $329 for the 6GB/64GB model, $349 for the 6GB/128GB, and $379 for 8GB/128GB model. The basic Redmi Note 11, on the other hand, will start at a recommended retail price of $179 for the 4GB/64GB model. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 11 series will be start selling as early as February, and will be available through a variety of smartphone retailers, including Jumia.
