Tecno just launched the Spark 9T and the Spark 9 Pro set of smartphones in Nigeria – the latest iterations of the Tecno Spark series. These smartphones are coming in to replace the Spark 8 series launched in Nigeria a year ago. Both smartphones feature similar, refreshing designs, build quality, improved specs, features, etc. But they’ve got their differences, however. The Spark 9T is a stripped-down version of the Spark 9 Pro and is much more affordable. So, in this article, we will be showing you the differences (Design, build, specs, features, etc) between both smartphones.
Tecno Spark 9T vs Spark 9 Pro
The first major update you’ll notice on both smartphones is their refreshed design. They both come with the trendy right-angled edge build (something like what you’ll find on an iPhone 11 or iPhone 2). Also, they both feature identical rear camera trays which house three sensors. On both devices, you get to choose from four different colors; Quantum Black, Burano Blue, Holy White, and Hacker Storm. Both smartphones feature 6.6-inch LCD tear-drop displays. There isn’t any noticeable difference between both devices in the design are – they both look alike.
For the camera, on the Spark 9 Pro, what you get is a triple camera set up which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and an AI sensor. The Tecno Spark 9T on the other hand features a 13-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and an AI sensor. And although both smartphones feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera, the Spark 9 Pro is by far a better option when you consider camera quality.
Winner: Spark 9 Pro
The Tecno Spark 9T is powered by the MediaTek Halio G37, while the Spark 9 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Halio G85. Both devices come with 4GB of RAM and are backed up by 3GB of virtual RAM. For software, they both run on the same operating system – Android 12 with HIOS 10.6. It might also interest you to know that these are the first sets of Tecno smartphones to come with Android 12 right out the box.
