If you own a Yelight Smart bulb, you might occasionally want to reset it. Perhaps, you are connecting it to a new network or you wish to give it away or sell it off. Whatever, the case, resetting a Yeelight LED is pretty easy. Before you get started, connect it to your light fixture or bulb holder and turn it on.
Then power cycle it 5 times. Put it another way, switch it on and off five times with 1 second intervals until the light that’s blinking. If it’s a color light, it’ll cycle through different colors. This is how you know that you’ve successfully reset the bulb.

- Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi band
- Use WPA/WPA2 WiFi security option on your WiFi router.
- Change the DNS Servers of your router to Google’s Public DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
